2010 will be a Happy New Rear!

Yes I said "Rear". And I meant it. As of last month, I've lost a total of 52 lbs. As of this weekend (Thanksgiving), I've gained a few back! I'm pretty sure Cool Whip with Pecan Pie isn't low in carbohydrates.

BUT! Losing that weight has made it easier to exercise. My knees don't hurt as much, and I seem to have more stamina without raising my heart rate through the roof.

So, today, November 30, I begin Couch to 5K. I know, kind of a strange time to start something like that, huh? Most people start on January 1, but I am not willing to give up on myself through the holidays. Besides, as my daughter and I always say - there's ALWAYS something going on. Either there's a birthday, a holiday, a picnic, dinner out...I'm just gonna keep on going.

I'd like to lose another 40 lbs or so. I was of the mindset that with PCOS, I wouldn't be able to lose weight. Then, I was the mindset of being over 40 makes it harder to lose weight. Then there's my messed-up knees...Well, I was wrong on all counts.

So, today W1D1 (Week 1, Day 1) of C25K. It was only 1.72 miles - guess I walked/ran pretty slow. But I did want to make sure I did the whole thing and I did! I downloaded a playlist and an app for my iPod Touch and they both helped. Now to increase my awareness of when I eat, thanks to my weight loss coach.

Got Clean Eating Magazine at Whole Foods Market, too. Seems pretty good. I can do this!
